Childlike Joy

Prov. 25:2 “It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honor of kings is to search out a matter.”  Aramaic Bible in Plain English “It is the glory of God that hides the word, and the glory of the King that seeks for the word.”
That’s where I am Father, seeking You for the Word or words You wish to reveal to me.  Give me understanding and wisdom, I trust You for it.  You like hide and seek [Jer. 29:13; Matt. 7:7-8].

I do child for it causes you to seek Me out, to search for the truths I have hidden and awaiting your discovery.  Both are My delight, the hiding of them for you to find gives Me much pleasure for I know your heart is set on discovery of all that I am.  My heart is set on you, child, and I will not allow one precious jewel to escape your discovery of it.  They all belong to you.  I set them aside for you, for your joy and delight in their discovery.  We rejoice together child, for that is the goal, not the jewels but our joy in each other’s delight.

Father, I’m seeing so many things; me looking for these hidden truths and Your delighting in my search, even directing me.  Then when I find it I run back to You carrying this jewel to show you.  We both look at it rejoicing over me finding it and its beauty.  Yet my focus is on You even as Your focus is on me.

That’s it child, the mutual delight we share in each other, that’s the reason for it all.  I could make it cut and dry and just drop into your lap all these things, but soon it would become very boring and routine and expected.  This way child, it’s all joy, all discovery joy and the focus isn’t on the thing but on the game we play, the joy of the game we play together.  It takes two to play and I love it when you come to Me seeking Me to come and play.

Father, the one is as dry as dust and there is no way I ever want to lose our joyful times of hide-n-seek.  You say I must come as a child, so I want to be childlike and children love games, love to play games.  Thank You that You don’t make my life boring and hard but You give me the joy of life, the joy of You!  I want to be like that child in my vision, running up the stairs in Your throne room to You.  There was such joy and delight on her face, such energy and assurance as she ran into Your arms.  I too want to be so sure of my reception by You as You reach out and lift me up to yourself.

Yes child, it is even so for all who will come unto Me and let Me make them childlike, releasing them from their heavy burdens of care and rightness.  Rightness is what I say is rightness and not dictated by man’s own conscience of right and wrong.  That has gotten him into trouble over and over down through the years and established many rules and regulations I never required of them.

 I’m hearing “heavy burdens”

Hard to be borne and carried, stooping their souls and spirits so they do not see and hear My call to come and play with Me.

Father, it’s hard to grasp You as the Creator, God of all, Who has all the responsibility of everything in existence wanting me to come and play with You.  Yet You’ve reminded me of Matt. 11:29Amp. where You said for us to come to You and let You remove all these burdens and in You we will find “rest [relief and ease and refreshment and recreation]”.  Recreation is playtime, in fact the definition is something people do for fun and enjoyment; refreshment of strength and spirits after work.

Why would you think I don’t know what I’m talking about child?  I created every word, every syllable for My glory, to display My glory to and through you.  We exchange words I’ve created for that very purpose and I will be glorified in My church, My people.  Words that fascinate you child, words that lift you up to Me in greater understanding and knowledge, Words, My universe is filled with Words.

My mind is racing; You spoke words and created everything by those words.  Jesus is the living breathing Word.  Your Bible is a book of words and You are the Creator of Words and words have the power of life and death when spoken.

Yes child, trust Me with all your words, to fill your mouth with good ones that bring life to you, and yes to those you speak and pray over.  Life words, joy words, come and play and rejoice with Me as we speak and share laughter and words of love.

Okay I’m in, show me where the hidden treasure is, what You want me to find, so we can rejoice over its discovery together.  You complete my joy, sharing it with You completes my joy.

Yes child, now you’re understanding.  I make everything complete.
