Real Faith Will Produce Acts of Obedience
Heb. 11:6 “But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the Rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].”
Without faith it's impossible to please God, so the first step of is to believe that He is, then the next step is to draw near to Him knowing therein is your greatest reward and life. Taking the first step isn't enough, just believing He is God and that He exist isn't enough. James 2:17-26 show this and says even the demons believe God is and they shudder in fear of Him. They have taken the first step but they refused to “obey” and draw near to Him. They chose the path of disobedience and rejected what they knew of God. Verse 17 says faith without acts of obedience is dead, so the first step is faith and the next step is obedience otherwise your faith is dead. Verses 21-23 talks about Abraham, his faith in God that moved him to offer up his only son as an act of obedience. Abraham had been taking many steps of obedience towards God before this was required of him. In fact verse 23 says he was the friend of God. Each step of obedience he took established more and more faith in him, assurance that this was a God he could trust. Trust to keep His word to him and trust Him to do him only good whether or not he could see it at the time. We too are justified like Abraham was justified through faith and acts (works) of obedience. Works means to work as in Phi. 2:2 where it says to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. It also means toil as an effort or occupation, an act or deed, labor or
doing. Verse 24 Ampl. says “You see that a man is justified (pronounced righteous before God) through what he does and not alone through faith (through works of obedience as well as by what he believes).” Rom. 10:9-10 shows it requires believing and action, in this case the action is speaking or calling out for salvation to be established. The act of confession is just as necessary as the faith that believes, they work together. One without the other produces nothing. We can confess all day long but if we don’t believe what we’re saying its just lies with no foundation of truth. And we can believe God is and that Jesus is the Son of God but without the act of confession and calling out to Him that too is fruitless. As fruitless as the demons who also believe yet are reserved for the lake of fire. The sin of God’s people Israel was disobedience. They confessed Him as their God but it was only mouth confession, not heart belief. Their actions belied their words. God said they are near Me with their mouths but far from Me with their hearts [Is. 29:13; Eze 33:31; Ps 78:37-37]. Is this not where our nation is?
Yes child, America has confessed many things, one nation under God indivisible with liberty and justice for all. Yet they speak lies, have spoken these lies for a long time.
And I have been patient and longsuffering calling forth unto her, as I have Israel, to return unto her roots wherein is her life. Yet she has refused My voice of compassion and longsuffering. Shall I not now in My love and compassion for her stretch out My hand of correction, correcting and adjusting back into My order of righteousness her wayward ways? Truth child, I seek truth in the inward heart of man. I long to hear words of truth backed up by hearts that speak the same truth, I hear both. These child, receive My blessing for these I can bless and come into agreement with. I move heaven and earth, rearrange times and ways for those who will seek Me in such truth, whose hearts and mouths are in agreement with My truth. My people have yet to understand and perceive the power of My truth spoken back to Me, calling Me to record to fulfill it unto themselves. Shall I not keep My Word, maintain and sustain it unto all those who ask Me to do so, who require it of Me? I seek those who will call it forth from Me,
remind Me of its truth and require it of Me. I know it already for it’s who I am but I must know they know it also and want it. When they want My truth they want Me and I shall come revealing Myself to them in all the beauty of truth, exposing Myself before them. But I must trust and know they truly value My truth, My person above all else even themselves and their self interest. Yes child, I have hidden you in the Rock also and through Him you have access to Me, as much of Me as your heart desires. Trust Me I shall not let you be harmed for I see the blood. And as the blood cleanses you from every spot and blemish you shall see more clearly My love for you. The brightness of it shall not blind you but cause you to see more clearly as the scales continue to drop away one by one. Watch for more revelation appearing on the horizon even as the sun arises in the east and proclaims each new day with its brightness. Trust Me child, for I am your Trustworthy God.
